Yingcai Wu is currently a research associate in Computer Science at The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST). He works with Dr. Huamin Qu in the visualization group at the VisGraph Lab. He received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from HKUST in 2009, under the supervision of Dr. Huamin Qu.  He obtained a B.Eng. degree in Computer Science & Technology from South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China in 2004. 

His major research interests are as follows:
  • Scientific Volume Visualization
  • Visual Analytics
  • Information Visualization
  • Urban City Visualization
