PURPOSE
This is a educational game teaches Chinese character recognition and meaning in an interesting way. The target audience is for secondary language learners aged 5 and upwards. It supports Chinese characters sound. The game use soundfiles and images to teach the Chinese characters.
The main purpose to create this game is for the HKUST COMP300X assignment 3.
HOW TO PLAY THE GAME
Before you start the game, you need to learn 15 Chinese characters and their meanings. You can click here to start to learn.
In the game, there are missiles carry single word of that Chinese characters flying towards you. There are 3 different levels. The difficulties and the speed of words and missiles approaching is higher in upper levels. Every 3 correct hits, then you will level up. After 3 correct hits in the 3rd level, the game will be over.
In the 1st level, there is just one missile carries one Chinese character at a time. In the 2nd level, there are two missiles carry two different Chinese characters at a time. And in the 3rd level, there are three missiles carry three different Chinese characters at a time.
Remember! No Chinese character will be repeated used. So you need to learn all the Chinese character before you start the game. If you feel alright now. You can click "Play Game" on the left, or click here to start the game.
