Project Description:

Network visualization is the use of interactive computer graphics and imaging techniques to help users gain insights into data among which there are inter-linking relationships, such as traffic routes and structures of internet networks. In this project, we will explore more sophisticated techniques to develop effective and scalable visualization systems by combining the new developments in graphics hardware, computer graphics, and scientific visualization. The system will be used to visualize hundreds of gigabytes network data about China webpages collected in Peking university. Through our research, a real application problem will be solved and new techniques developed will be very useful for the whole information visualization community.
