Yuanyuan Yang is a Full Professor of Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Yang received the BEng and MS degrees in computer science and engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, and the MSE and PhD degrees in computer science from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Yang's research interests include parallel and distributed computing and systems, high speed networks, optical and wireless networks and high performance computer architecture. Dr. Yang has published over 100 papers in major journals and refereed conference proceedings related to these research areas. Dr. Yang is an inventor/co-inventor of six U.S. patents in the area of multicast networks. She is currently an Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems and the Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing.
