Matt Mutka's current research interests include mobile computing, wireless networking, multimedia networking, and network security issues. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988. In 1989 he joined the faculty of the Department of Computer Science, Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan, where he is currently an associate professor. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Helsinki, Helsinki Finland, in 1988-1989, and in 2002, and a member of technical staff at Bell Laboratories in Denver, Colorado from 1979-1982.
