COMP 272--MIDTERM EXAMINATION

The Midterm Examination will be held on Friday, April 1, from 19:00 to 21:00.

LT C

We will cover material from UNIT 1 up to and including UNIT 9; but we will NOT COVER UNIT 4.

The midterm will not cover context-free grammars.

My notes take precedence over all other materials including the course text.

There are serious differences between the course text and me about the definition of regular expressions and NFSMs, for example.

There are some differences of notation and terminology between the course text and me. For example, machines instead of automata.

I often prove results differently from the course text and others. For example, state elimination and the marking construction.
