Dik Lun LEE 李迪麟 (PhD, Toronto, 1985)

Professor

I joined HKUST as an Associate Professor in 1994 and am now Professor in the Department of Computer Science. Before joining HKUST, I was an Associate Professor of Computer and Information Science at the Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio, USA). In 1992, I spent my sabbatical leave as a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC, Dublin, Ohio, USA) and as a consultant to Information Dimensions Incorporated (IDI, Dublin, Ohio, USA), which was acquired by Opentext. Please explore further my background and other duties.

I served as a guest editor for several special issues on database-related topics, and as program committee member and chair for several international conferences. As an ACM Lecturer from 1991 to 1993, I had given seminars on document access methods at universities and ACM Chapters. From 1995 to 1998, I served as an executive committee member, Vice Chairman and Chairman of ACM Hong Kong Chapter.
