Title: A couple of problems in the area of polygonal surfaces

Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce a couple of problems in the area of 
polygonal surfaces that I am working on. One is about find an embedding 
for  a polygonal surface with a given metric. Our motivating application is in 
analyzing deformable shapes. The other is about evolving metric of
polygonal surfaces, in particular, focusing on the interaction between 
curvature and metric.
